NFTs implement blockchain technology to register the property of an object and validate its authenticity. From artwork to real estate, everything could be recorded in an NFT.
In recent months, NFTs have been vigorously incorporated into the crypto ecosystem and today thousands of digital items are certified through NFT and sold in specialized markets at millionaire prices. Unlike cryptocurrencies, which are identical to each other and are worth the same, each NFT is unique.
If you want to know more about the cryptoasset that makes the market tremble, click here to read an article written by our legal team.

On Wednesday, April 28th, the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance will be hosting a webinar, “Food & Beverage Advertising and Labelling in Latin America”.
The webinar will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET and it will be conducted in Spanish.
With many countries in Latin America already having front labelling and advertising restrictions in force, or in process, members of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance will discuss some of the key rules and recent developments in the region in this regard. The webinar will also be a good opportunity to open the discussion on how the regulation on this matter will evolve in the region. Our partner, Paula Fernández Pfizenmaier, will be moderating the panel, which will include important speakers from Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Ecuador and Perú.

Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in Global Advertising Campaigns
On March 19, the panel “Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in Global Advertising Campaigns” took place at the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance annual conference.
Our partner, Paula Fernández Pfizenmaier, was pleased to moderate an international panel with speakers from the UK, Brazil, India and Asia, discussing the legal updates in connection with this matter was very enriching considering it has its own local singularities due to our different cultural and religious backgrounds as well as the different economic, social and political context in each country.

New candidate to head the Access to Public Information Agency
On March 23, the public hearing to appoint a new director of the Access to Public Information Agency – the national authority for access to public information and protection of personal data- was held virtually.
The candidate Gustavo Juan Fuertes, proposed by Resolution 100/2021 of the Chief of Staff, addressed the relevance of his appointment, his work plan, his background and replied to comments about his candidacy.
Twenty (20) speakers presented their comments and one hundred twenty (120) people participated in the hearing. The nomination also received forty (40) endorsements. Numerous NGO’s questioned Fuertes’ suitability and independence to lead a technical body that should be separated from political power.
