Socio Lozada Javier

Javier Lozada is Of Counsel of our Firm since April 2021.

He specializes in corporate and governmental matters, corporate communications, advice on legal and regulatory affairs, compliance, sustainability, and licensing of intellectual property. He has over thirty years of experience in international business, and he has resided and worked in several countries of Latin America and Europe.

Before joining Bruchou, between 2015 and 2020, he served as General Secretary of Danone Group for Southern Cone, where he consolidated and led the functions of Public Affairs, Corporate Communication, Corporate Social Responsibility, Legal matters, Regulatory and Compliance Affairs, as well as Scientific and Security Affairs. As corporate lawyer, he worked at Philips Group during 27 years in different roles until he became head of Legal, Intellectual Property and Sustainability for Latin America.

Javier started his career in the Poder Judicial at the Fuero Comercial (Commercial Court of the Judicial Branch). He then worked at the Parliamentary Information Office of the Argentine House of Representatives.

Javier is a referent of the International Public Affairs Network (IPAN) in Argentina. In addition, he carried out his business activity in numerous trade and binational business chambers. He contributed to the development of the corporate lawyer’s profession by taking part in and leading the Red de Abogados de Empresa del Instituto para el Desarrollo Empresario de Argentina IDEA during two terms. There, he helped create the Encuentros Anuales de Abogados de Empresa (Corporate Lawyers’ Annual Meetings). In addition, he participated in the Club de Abogados de Empresa (Corporate Lawyers Club) and co-founded the Abogados Internos de Empresa (AIE) (In-House Lawyers Association).

He is a member of the Comité Académico del Centro de Gobernanza y Transparencia at the IAE Business School of the Universidad Austral de Buenos Aires (Academic Council of the Governance and Business Ethics Center, IAE Business School, (Universidad Austral de Buenos Aires), and has participated as speaker in numerous seminars and conferences both in Latin America an United States on legal, intellectual and compliance matters. Moreover, he was Head Professor of the Maestría of Propiedad Intelectual at the Universidad Austral (Universidad Austral’s Intellectual Property Master’s Degree Course), and of the Programa de Certificación de Oficiales de Cumplimiento of the Universidad UCEMA de Buenos Aires (Compliance Officers Certification Program of Universidad UCEMA de Buenos Aires).

Education

He graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aries Law School in 1986, and in 1993 he obtained a Business Administration Master’s Degree (MBA) at the IAE Business School. In 1996 and 2004, he attended the Harvard University Law Program for lawyers completing both Negotiation and Advanced Negotiation Programs.
