María Cecilia

María Cecilia Calosso joined our Firm as a member of the Tax Department in 2017.

In her daily practice in Bruchou & Funes de Rioja, she provides legal tax advice to local and foreign individuals and companies in national and cross-border deals of several sectors (e.g., capital market, oil & gas, mining, technology sector, energy industry). She has rendered tax advice in several projects related to financing, corporate restructures, due diligence in M&A, tax promotional regimes, among others. She also provides tax advice related to payroll taxes.

She graduated from the University of Buenos Aires Law School in 2017 and completed her Master’s in Taxation coursework at the University of Buenos Aires Economic School in 2021, with her thesis pending.

She is a member of the City of Buenos Aires Bar Association (Colegio Público de Abogados de la Capital Federal),  the Asociación Argentina de Estudios Fiscales (tax-specialized association) and the International Fiscal Association. She has attended several courses and seminars related to tax matters. In 2024, she was a member of the Argentine team that won the “Desafío YIN 2024”, organized by IFA LATAM, a tax-related regional competition.
