Mr. Jorge leads the Corporate Compliance, Internal Investigations & Business Crime Department. Renowned for expertise in anti-corruption compliance and money laundering prevention, he is also known for his innovative strategies in mitigating legal risks.
He is recognized as leader in his field of practice by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500.
Prior to joining Bruchou & Funes de Rioja, Mr. Jorge was the founding partner of Governance Latam. In this role, he advised both multinational and local companies and was frequently consulted on public integrity reform processes, anti-corruption, and money laundering prevention across Argentina and Latin America. His expertise is also sought by international organizations, including the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the United Nations, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He also contributed as a member of FIFA’s Independent Governance Committee, overseeing corporate governance reforms within the organization.
In addition to his professional practice, Mr. Jorge serves as a Global Adjunct Professor at the New York University School of Law and a senior researcher at the Center for Anticorruption Studies at the University of San Andrés. His academic contributions include being a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Latin American Studies at Stanford University (2001) and holding fellowships at the National Endowment for Democracy (2006) and Stanford University’s Center for Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law (2009). He has published extensively on his areas of expertise, both in Argentina and internationally, and is a frequent speaker at global conferences.
He is a member of the Colegio Público de Abogados de la Capital Federal.
Mr. Jorge earned his law degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1995 and completed his LLM at Harvard University in 2003.
