Miss Rey is a partner in the Tax Department, specializing in international taxation. With over 20 years of experience, she provides expert guidance on cross-border transactions and investments, both for Argentine businesses investing abroad and for foreign entities investing in Argentina. Her practice covers all related reporting and compliance matters applicable to individuals and business entities. She regularly advises on complex corporate and financial structures, as well as other aspects of international taxation.
She is recognized as leader in his field of practice by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and ITR World Tax.
Prior to joining the Firm, Miss Rey was a member of the tax department of Negri & Teijeiro, mainly providing tax advice in transactional matters, with a special emphasis on international taxation.
Since 2017, Miss Rey leads the International Taxation Commission of the Unión Industrial Argentina. During the years 2020-2022 she also holded the position of Argentine National Reporter of the International Bar Association’s Taxes Committee. She is a current member of the Managing Board of the Argentine Association of Fiscal Studies (period 2022-2024) and a member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires.
Miss Rey received her law degree (tax law-oriented) from the Law School of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2005. She was awarded with a merit scholarship to attend graduate tax studies at the University of Texas at Austin, School of Law (USA). In 2009, she obtained a post-graduate degree as tax law specialist at Universidad Austral, winning the medal award for her thesis work on double taxation treaties. She is currently a regular speaker in tax conferences and seminars (both in Argentina and abroad) and she usually contributes articles to specialized publications. She is assistant professor in the Master of Tax Law program at the Universidad Católica Argentina and serves as a guest lecturer in the postgraduate programs at Universidad Austral and Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
Prior to her law degree, she graduated as a Graphic Designer at the School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning of the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2000).
