Socio Winschel María Lucila

María Lucila Winschel is a partner in the General Corporate and M&A Department and leads the Corporate Law & Corporate Governance practice at Bruchou & Funes de Rioja. She also serves as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors.

Her practice focuses on general corporate law, with particular emphasis on inward investments by foreign investors and outward investments by Argentine investors. She regularly advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including corporate governance, shareholder agreements, dispute resolution, corporate restructurings and spin-offs, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence processes, and the structuring of joint ventures.

Lucila also advises fintech entrepreneurs, venture-backed scale-ups and incumbent financial institutions on the full spectrum of corporate matters that underpin technology-driven financial services, with particular emphasis on shareholders’ agreements and strategic corporate reorganizations. She regularly designs governance frameworks tailored to the regulatory environment applicable to virtual wallets, embedded finance providers and crypto-asset intermediaries, ensuring alignment with Central Bank and CNV requirements while preserving investor protections and founder control.

Prior to joining the Firm, she worked as an associate at Estudio Beccar Varela and Estudio Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal.

She is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association (Colegio Público de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires) and of the Advisory Council for Legal Affairs of the Cámara de Sociedades.
