Mr. Lozano specializes in corporate law with most of his expertise focused on mergers and acquisitions, and competition and antitrust law. From August 1st, he will lead the Firm’s Competition & Antitrust Law practice.

Gabriel is the second lateral partner hire in recent months -attracted, mainly, by the innovative capital structure and corporate governance design that the Firm finalized at the end of 2017- in the context of a continuous analysis for the incorporation of other potential stars in different fields and areas of practice, and that has attracted the attention of partners, senior associates and general counsels of institutions in our country which have contacted our Firm to collect further information.

Prior to joining the Firm, he was the General Counsel of Syngenta in LAS (Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay) from 2015 to 2018. In this position, he played a major role in the acquisition of Syngenta by ChemChina and in the acquisition of Nidera by Syngenta, both particularly focused in antitrust.

Moreover, Gabriel also worked as senior associate in Marval, O’ Farrell & Mairal for more than 16 years, of which 8 years he dedicated, mainly, to competition and antitrust matters; also, he was a foreign associate at the Brazilian law firm Demarest Abvogados from 2004 to 2007.
