Mr. José Bazán has developed his entire career at the Firm as a member of the Firm’s Banking & Capital Markets team.
In his daily practice, he advises banks, private equity funds and corporations in local and international banking and capital markets transactions. He has participated in a significant number of transactions involving debt securities (private and sovereign), equity offerings, tender offers and regulatory matters.
He actively provides legal advice to clients in the infrastructure and energy sectors under the government’s PPP program, which includes Highways and Safe Roads, Transmission Lines and Renewable Energy. He also has vast experience in bank financings and securitizations, as well as in debt restructurings.
He is recognized as leader in his field of practice by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and International Financial Law Review.
Between 2009 and 2010, he practiced as foreign associate in Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP (New York).
Mr. Bazán teaches “Implementation of Financial Business Operations” at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Argentina.
He obtained a law degree with honors from the Law School of Universidad Católica Argentina in 2004.
