
López Figueroa
Matías
Mr. López Figueroa advises financial institutions, private investment funds and corporations in corporate financing transactions, with focus on project financing, acquisition financing and trade financing. He also has extensive experience in debt restructuring, asset management, mutual funds and foreign exchange regulations. In addition, he counsels financial institutions and companies on banking and securities regulatory matters.
He is also co-head of the firm’s Fintech practice, a multidisciplinary platform designed to meet the evolving and complex needs of clients in this industry. In the recent years, he has advised a diverse range of fintech companies on regulatory matters and innovative fintech products, centering his work on supporting fintech companies as they navigate the rapidly changing legal landscape.
He has been consistently recognized in his practice area by international legal directories such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR.
From 2013 to 2014, he served as a foreign associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York.
He joined Bruchou & Funes de Rioja in December 2001 as a trainee, received his law degree from Universidad Católica Argentina in 2003, and has been admitted to the Bar of the City of Buenos Aires since 2004.
