On June 2, 2026, General Resolution IGJ No. 5/2026 was published in the Official Gazette, establishing a new registration procedure with digital generation and delivery of the registration certificate (plancha de inscripción). Below are the key takeaways and their practical impact.
Key points of the resolution
- Paper copies eliminated: The obligation to submit copies of the original instrument (previously required under Section 35 of GR IGJ 15/24) has been waived. Only the original instrument is filed and retained in the administrative record.
- Digital registration certificate: Once registration is completed, the IGJ generates a digital registration certificate embedding the registered documents, executed with the competent officer’s digital signature. This certificate constitutes the official record of the registry act and has full legal effect under Section 11 of Law 25,506.
- Electronic delivery: The certificate is sent to the authorized recipient through the IGJ’s digital platform, eliminating the need to collect the registered instrument in person.
- Mandatory digital domicile: The certifying professional must include in the filing form the authorized recipient’s details (name/corporate name, CUIT linked to the digital platform, and alternative email address).
- Gradual implementation: The resolution applies to entities and registrable acts as they are incorporated into the Implementation Schedule, which will be published and updated on the IGJ’s official website. Filings not yet included in the Implementation Schedule remain subject to GR IGJ 15/24.
- Inspector General’s Particular Resolutions in electronic format: When the Implementation Schedule incorporates acts requiring Particular Resolutions of the Inspector General, such resolutions will be issued electronically with digital signature.
- Effective date: The resolution takes effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
