We advised Central Puerto on obtaining US$300,000,000 in financing for the acquisition of Piedra del Águila Hidroeléctrica Argentina S.A.

Bruchou & Funes de Rioja acted as local counsel to Central Puerto S.A. (“CEPU”) and Martínez de Hoz & Rueda acted as local counsel to International Finance Corporation (“IFC”) in connection with the granting of a US$300,000,000 financing to CEPU under New York law (the “Financing”).

The proceeds of the Financing will be used for (i) the payment of the purchase price for all the shares of Piedra del Águila Hidroeléctrica Argentina S.A., within the framework of the public tender for the sale of the equity capital of the concessionaire companies of the hydroelectric plants of the Comahue Complex; and (ii) the financing of the installation of a battery energy storage system (BESS).
