Leandro Exequiel
Leandro joined Bruchou & Funes de Rioja in 2014 as part of the Banking and Capital Markets team. Between 2017 and 2018, he served as an international associate in the Global Capital Markets department at Milbank LLP in New York.
He specializes in advising banks, companies, and investment funds on local and international capital markets and structured financing transactions, including project finance, ECA financings, acquisition financing and trade financings. His expertise also extends to regulatory matters, including banking, finance, and foreign exchange regulations.
Leandro has played a key role in high-complexity and landmark transactions in Argentina, such as advising YPF on its historic exchange offer and consent solicitation involving approximately US$7 billion, the largest capital markets transaction in Argentina’s history.
In 2024, Latin Lawyer recognized Leandro in their Deal Tracker Report as one of the most active lawyers in debt capital market transactions across Latin America during the first half of the year. He was also acknowledged by the Chambers & Partners Latin America Guide 2025 as an Associate to Watch for his strong contributions to the Banking & Finance department. Additionally, Legal 500 highlighted him as a Leading Associate with regular involvement in his team’s key work and recognition from peers and clients as a professional to watch in the Banking & Finance practice area. Furthermore, Leandro was ranked as a Rising Star in the IFLR1000 ranking in the areas of Banking & Finance and Capital Markets.
